Calumma Ecological Services

Calumma Ecological Services is a UK based wildlife consultancy that specialises in the applied conservation of amphibians and reptiles.

We have considerable experience of working in southeast England and ensure that local expertise is used effectively in each project to provide our clients with a professional and quality service.

Our principal ecologist is Dr. Lee Brady, whose main area of research is amphibian and reptile ecology. Research projects have investigated the effects of aquatic pollutants on newts and the adaptive strategies displayed by natterjack toad tadpoles in a variable environment.

British research currently focuses upon great crested newt survey techniques and the conservation status of the adder. Overseas research is investigating the ecology of chameleons in Madagascar.
